Very little is known about Clarinda after she remarried. She and three of her children appear on the 1870 Winneshiek Co., Iowa census with her second husband, Thomas Hagerty.  They were living next door to her sister-in-law, Mary Quenett Tibbs and her father-in-law, Francis Quenett.

Clarinda died in the Rochester State Hospital for the Insane.  She was admitted as a patient on 13 Jun 1901 under the name of Quenett and her death is also registered under the name Quenett.
