Notes:
Henry was a military man and a veteran of the War of 1812 and the Mexican War.  He was promoted to Lieutenant in the Light Artillery Militia on 29 Jun 1813.  He was promoted to Assistant Deputy Quartermaster-Genera in July of 1813.  He received a promotion to Military Secretary to Gen. George Izard in 1814.  He was promoted to Major, Deputy Quartermaster on 13 May 1820.  He was promoted to Acting Adjutant General in Florida in 1836 and 1837 under Gen Thomas S. Jessup.  He was promoted to Colonel, Assistant Quartermaster-General in Washington DC in 1838.  He was promoted to Brigadier-General on 1 Jan 1847 for meritorious conduct in the Mexican War.
