Notes:
Cecil was very young when his father died and his mother had a nervous breakdown.  Because she could no longer care for the children, he and his brothers were taken to the "poor farm".  He was given to various families to work as a farm laborer and ended up with a man named Buck Hooper who worked him like slave labor.  Once he was of age, he left there, found a job in Richland Township, and boarded with Tom and Mary (Combs) Welker.

Pauline was the oldest of five children.  She also lived in Richland Township.  She and Cecil were married by S.E. Walker at his home.  After they were married, they moved to Indianapolis, IN where all three of their children were born.  Cecil worked for General Motors Truck and Bus Division for more than 20 years, retiring in 1972.  He was a member of the Keystone Masonic Lodge #251 in Indianapolis.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
