     Leslie bought the NE 17-29-26-W2, a homestead approximately 1/2 mile from the Katie and Paddy McGeough homestead. 10 miles west of Simpson.  Leslie and his wife, Ethel, had three children: Hazel, Violet and Bert.  Ethel died after the First World War as a result of the flu.  Bert was only five month old, so he lived with his grandmother until adulthood.  Bert served in the Second World War, married, and now lived in Tisdale, Saskatchewan.
