Notes:
Newspaper article in the McLeansboro, Illinois Times 8/26/1979 pertaining to the
Mayberry reunion stated:
"Frederick Mayberry, born 6/19/1723 in Germany, had three sons who served in the
Revolutionary War."
Frederick and Catherine came to New Jersey about 1750 where they lived until her death. He then moved to Chambersburg, Pennsylvania before moving to and settling in Bedford Co., Virginia. This is where Barbara was from and, after their marriage, where they raised their family.
On 31 Jul 1801, Frederic Mayberry wrote his Last Will & Testament in which he stated he was "feeling very ill and weak in body." He died shortly after and his will was proved in court by the witnesses on 26 Oct 1801. He mentions Henry separately from the other children which may indicate that he is truly from his first marriage to Catherine.
