Floy and his brother Fred got into a little trouble during prohibition.
From The
Jefferson City Post Tribune, Jefferson City, Missouri, August 24, 1934:
Fred and Floy
Webster were caught by United States agents near Camdenton with a sixty gallon
still in their possession. They were arraigned before Commissioner Edna Morris
this morning and committed to jail when they failed to make bond.
From The
Jefferson City Post Tribune, Jefferson City, Missouri, November 20, 1934:
Fred Webster
and Floy Webster, Lafayette County, entered pleas of guilty to sale of moonshine
whiskey to an unlicensed dealer and sentence was deferred until the March term
of court.
Floy and Bessie divorced sometime around 1950.
Bessie then married George Morrison.
