Notes:
Per the Sutton Sesquicentennial Book: Mr. George Shepard's store,
it is the oldest store built of wood in Sutton. George C. Dyer started a store
in 1834, near where the "Blue Bird" is now, and the family were merchants
continuously until 1911 when it passed into other hands. When the business was
sold it was sold to G. A. Shepard and son.
