CIRCLE -- Charles W. Yackey, of Circle, died in a Circle hospital Friday.

Mr. Yackey was born April 26, 1894 at Powderville.  He moved with his parents to the Burns community near Sidney and from there to Glendive where he attended high school. After the death of his parents, he moved to the Weldon community in McCone county.  He served in World War I and, after the war, he attended MSC at Bozeman.  He married Grace Lee at Bozeman on Jan. 11, 1922. They then returned to Weldon and lived there until 1936.  They then moved to Circle where they've lived since.

He was head of the McCone County employment office for 30 years and was custodian of the Circle Court House at the time of his death.  He was active in the VFW and the American Legion and was coroner of the county for 20 years. He was a member of the United Christian Church.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Mielke of Sidney; a sister, Mrs. W. O. Schuect, Wibaux; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Christian Church in Circle.  The Rev. Ben Smith will officiate.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Circle.  Military rites will be accorded by the VFW of Circle.  The Clayton Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point will be in charge of services.
