Funeral service for Charles A. Wood, 66, of 2111 W. Douglas, will be at 3 p. m. Thursday in Culbertson Mortuary. Chaplain Samuel G. Widiger, Lutheran institutional chaplain, will officiate.

Mr. Wood, who died at his home Saturday night, was born Jan. 22, 1896 at Golena, Minn. He came to Wichita in 1908 from Carmen, Okla. He was a retired sign writer. He was a member of Albert Pike Masonic Lodge, Wichita Consistory, and Midian Shrine and was a retired member of the Shrine Oriental Band.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Cheeseman, Monterey Park, Calif.; two sons, William D., 431 N. Glenn, and Leo C., Hutchinson, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Shyrer, El Dorado, Kan. and Mrs. Amy Purvine, Santa Rosa, Calif.; a brother, D. D. Wood. 200 N. Hillside; and seven grandchildren.

Burial will be in Old Mission Cemetery with Albert Pike Lodge conducting Masonic graveside services.
