Merritt H. Wolfe, 80, a resident of Bacon Hill for may years, where he owned and operated a farm, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon at Prime's Home for Adults at Round Lake.

Mr. Wolfe was born in the town of Greenwich.  He was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church at Fort Miller.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Harold Davis of Colonie, Mrs. Bertha Winslow of Glens Falls, and Mrs. Milford Zufelt of North River; a son, Clifford Wolfe of Bacon Hill; three brothers, Bert of Syracuse, Frank of Glens Falls, and George Wolfe of Fort Edward; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Brown of Thompson, Mrs. Julian Livingston of Fulton and Mrs. Ethel Murphy of New Jersey; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, from the J. T. Still Funeral Home, Broad Street, Schuylerville, with Rev. Gerald C. Matson, former pastor of Wesleyan Church, Fort Miller, officiating.  Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville.
