Edward J. Krane, 53, of 3006 Nona Circle, died Wednesday at 9:45 p.m. in Doctor's Hospital after a short illness.

A Native of Buffalo, N.Y., he had lived in Shreveport 12 years.  He was an employee of the Beaird-Poulan Division of Emerson Electric Co. and a veteran of World War II.

The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Wellman's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles W. Hoy, pastor of Laurel Heights Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Antoinette Krane of Shreveport; six sons, Edward John Krane Jr. of Shreveport, Matthew Wlasniewski of Maryland, Ted Wlasniewski of Cherry Point, N.C., Tommy Wlasniewski and Joel Wlasniewski, both of New York State, and Tim Wlasniewski of Wellafield, N.Y.; a daughter, Josephine Ann Krane of Shreveport; a step-daughter, Anette Timblin of Shreveport; and a brother, John E. Wlasniewski of Holland, N.Y.

Pallbearers will be Carl F. Jancen, L.D. Ashby, Red Davis, R. D. Addison, Ed Hormighausen, and Jeff Reynolds.
