Elmer L. Wilson, 69, an active politician of this area for many years died yesterday afternoon at his home on Ferry Street.

Mr. Wilson was a member of the Board of Assessors for the town of Saratoga for 19 years, during which he served as chairman of the board for 16 years.

He was born in Quacker [sic] Springs (Schuylerville Route 1) and had been a resident of Schuylerville the last 23 years.  He was a member of Old Saratoga Reformed Church of Schuylerville.

Survivors include his wife, the former Amy Germain; two daughters, Mrs. Richard Pechette and Mrs. Clarence Willette; a son Henry Wilson, all of Schuylerville; one sister, Mrs. Lillian Blodgett of Quacker [sic] Springs; three brothers, Atwell of Mechanicville, Leland of Cambridge and Hollis of Ballston Spa; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place Monday at 2 p.m. at the late residence with the Rev. Harold J. Goldzung, pastor of Old Saratoga Reformed Church, officiating.  Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville.
