KERRVILLE:  Emma Porter Williams, 96, born Sept. 18, 1907, in Vinson, OK, to Richard Marion and Belle Porter, passed from this life on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at a local care center.

Mrs. Williams taught school in Junction and other surrounding towns, and married the late David Seth Williams in the Dallas area. She loved to sew and was an accomplished seamstress.

A loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend, her life will be celebrated and her wisdom and kindness will always be remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of many years, David Seth Williams.

She is survived by brother, Richard Nello Porter Sr., and wife, Nell, of Kerrville, TX; sister, Babs Kaiser and husband, Carl, of Irving, TX; nephew, Richard Nello Porter Jr., of San Antonio, TX; nieces, Teggy Darden and husband, Jerry, of Lubbock, TX, and Tammy Porter of Kerrville, TX; great-nephew, Richard Nello Porter III and wife, Kimberly, of Irving, TX, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Kerrville Funeral Home Chaplain Sam Ligon officiating.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice in lieu of flowers.
