OBITUARY

Name:   Ida Jane (Mattison) Whitney

From:  The Wellsboro Agitator, Wellsboro, Pennsylvania
Date:  Thursday, November 28, 1963

She was born October 17, 1887, the daughter of Willis and Lucinda Finch Mattison.  Her husband was the late Alfred V. Whitney and she was a member of Tioga chapter, Order of Eastern Star, the Methodist church and the Grange.

Surviving are four daughters; Mrs. Marjorie Tomlinson and Miss Dorothy Whitney of Mansfield; Mrs. Louise Smith and Mrs. Ruth Smith of Horseheads, N.Y.; two sons, Norman of Tioga and Lawrence of Chemung, N.Y.; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The body was at the Scureman Funeral Home.  Services were held Tuesday, November 26th with the Rev. J. Lester Showalter officiating.  Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
