Hendersonville - Billy B. Watts Sr., 82, of Hendersonville, died Thursday, Dec. 01, 2005 at Pardee Care Center after a lengthy illness.

He was a native of Buncombe County, and a resident of Henderson County for most of his life. He was a son of the late Lester and Lela Watts. He was affiliated with Brunson Furniture Company for over 30 years. He was of the Methodist faith and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II from 1941 to 1945.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester Watts Jr. and John Watts.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years Mary Ellen Watts; one son, Billy B. Watts Jr. and his wife Sheryl of Hendersonville; one daughter, Ginny Watts Woodham and her husband John of Sumter, S.C.; four grandchildren, Kelly Tisdale Odom, Jeff Tisdale III, Ryan Tisdale and his wife Beth, and Deanna Watts; two step grandsons, Tee Woodham and his wife Jen, and Jeremy Woodham and his wife Amy; one great grandson, Stephen Odom, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Shepherd Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service in the Mausoleum Chapel.
