Ernest Warren of 900 North Seventh street died at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 90 years, two months, and 16 days.

Mr. Warren was a former employee of the Mt. Vernon Car Company.

He was a grandson of Burrell Warren, a veteran of the War of 1812 who is buried in Sursa cemetery, northeast of Mt. Vernon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the East Salem Baptist church with the Rev. Everett Lemay officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the family home where friends may call at any time.

He was born Mar. 14, 1872, in Jefferson county, the son of Jackson and Margaret (Garrison) Warren.

He was married to Fannie Davis, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a daughter.

Survivors include three sons, Robert W. Warren of Galesburg, Ill., Forrest S. Warren of Mt. Vernon, and T. Burrell Warren of Davenport, Ia.; a daughter, Miss Helen Warren of Mt. Vernon; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
