Robert Bob Earl Waldon died March 20, 2011, in Napa. He was born to Fred and Edna (Kelly) Waldon on July 2, 1920, in Martinez, Calif. The family moved to Napa in 1938, right after Bob graduated from Castlemont High School. He went into business with his Dad, plowing fields for local farmers and helping him run the chicken ranch.

Bob married Virginia Ginny Galusha Feb. 8, 1942, and served in the 82nd Airborne during WWII. After the war, he became a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Union until he retired in 1978. Bob and Ginny raised three daughters in the family home Bob built in the Carneros Valley where he lived for over 60 years. He loved camping, fishing, panning for gold, gardening and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ginny of almost 60 years, his parents and his brothers, Jim, Don and Bill. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Lloyd) Martin of Napa, Patty Lindaberry of Cashmere, Wash., and Susan (Dan) Paul of Citrus Heights; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of his life at a later date. Arrangements are cared for by Treadway & Wigger Funeral Chapel.
