CLINTON -- Mabel G. VanDeusen, 82, of 628 Jackson St., Clinton, died at 7:21 a.m. Wednesday at the Sampsel Nursing Home, Tecumseh.

Mrs. VanDeusen was born Feb. 21, 1895, to Grant and Eliza (Jack) Schreder in Clinton township. She was a lifelong resident of the area. On June 1, 1917, she married Leon J. VanDeusen in Addison. He preceded her in death April 20, 1970.

Mrs. VanDeusen was a member of the United Church of Christ, Clinton, and its Philthea Class, and a past member of the Clinton Women's Club.

Mrs. VanDeusen is survived by two sons, Larry of Clinton and Stanley, of Ontario, Calif. and one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Eleanor) Miller, of Denver, Colo. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Mae Shaw of St. Petersburg, Calif.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. VanDeusen was preceded in death by one son.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Proctor Funeral Home, Clinton, with Rev. Roy V. Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Clinton. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
