WARRENSBURG--Ethel I. Tucker, 99, formerly of River Street, passed away peacefully, Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at the Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with her loving family by her side.

Born Sept. 23, 1911, in Johnsburg, she was the daughter of the late H. Clifford and Bell (Millington) Galusha.

Ethel met Lorenzo Pasco and eventually the couple wed on April 4, 1934. Together they operated Pasco's Diner in Warrensburg and a restaurant on the corner of South and School Street in Glens Falls, until his passing in 1964.

She married Howard F. Tucker in 1968 and the couple happily resided in the area until his passing in 1972.

Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed playing Bingo, babysitting and knitting.

Besides her parents and husbands, she is predeceased by her daughter, Allie Shambo; her son, Raymond Pasco; her brothers, Delbert and Leon Galusha; her sisters: Alta Tucker, Fannie Mosher and Ella Hayes; and grandson, Thomas Shambo.

She is survived by three daughters: Betty Fox of Warrensburg, Wanda Olden and her husband, John, of Warrensburg and Kathryn Ross and her husband, Wendell, of Chestertown; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great-grandson, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Ethel's family from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will follow the visitation at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the spring in Bates Cemetery, Johnsburg.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Special Olympics.
