Mrs. Rella W. Titterington, 89, R R 4, died at 6:40 p.m. Thursday in Fayette Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since November 23.  She had been in failing health the past year.

She was born December 23, 1884, in McLeansboro, Ill., to Samuel and Nancy Mangis Ward.  She was a member of the Springerville Christian Church and its Ladies Aid Society; and the United Methodist Women at Alquina.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ray L. (Ruth) Hartling of Spokane, Wash.; two sons, C. Ward Titterington of Vincennes and William E. Titterington of R R 4 Connersville; a brother, Harry Ward of McLeansboro; a sister, Mrs. Nora Johnson of Cartersville, Ill.; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, among whom is Mrs. Ruby Grubbs of Everton.  Her husband, Lewis Clifford Titterington, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Brown-Urban Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Best of Noblesville, former pastor of the Springerville Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Union Cemetery near Lyonsville.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Sunday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Springerville Christian Church.
