Carrie Pearle Sutton (March 4, 1889 - March 27, 1980)
Carrie Pearle Sutton, 91, died at 5:10 p.m. Thursday, March 27, in the home of Peggy Tiffany, 417 North Wayne Street, Angola, where she had been a resident for nearly six years.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 30, in the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, with Dr. J. Glenn Radcliffe officiating. Interment followed in Circle Hill Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the Steuben County Cancer Fund.
Mrs. Sutton was born March 4, 1889 in Steuben County, the daughter of Frank and Jennie Sams Braman. She was married to Roy C. Spangle on September 16, 1908. He preceded her in death on December 4, 1932. To this union was born two sons, Robert Frank Spangle of Phoenix, Arizona, and Max Eugene Spangle of Angola.
She was united in marriage to Robert Sutton in 1941. He preceded he in Death in December of 1950.
Mrs. Sutton was a charter member of the Pleasant View Church of Christ in Angola and had been active for many years in the Order of Eastern Star No. 78 of Angola.
Surviving, in addition to the sons are a step-daughter, Hope Sutton Handy of
Shawnee Mission Kansas; one grandson, James Roy Spangle; three granddaughters,
Maxine Spangle Herl, Deborah Spangle Smathers, and Janice Handy Keller; and
