Amy F. Stroud, 91, of Mount Pleasant died Dec. 1, 2004, at White River
Medical Center in Batesville.
Born July 8, 1913, at Cushman, she was the daughter of Clarence Warden and
Minnie Francis Satterwhite Garrison. She was a
retired licensed practical nurse, having worked in Pittsburgh, Kan., and was a
member of Providence Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.
Survivors include two stepsons: Lowell Stroud of Batesville, and Boyce Stroud
of Sandtown; a step-daughter, Cowene McDaniel of Sidney; a brother,
Hardy Garrison
of Mount Pleasant; six step-grandchildren; four nieces: Ruby Barber of Newark,
Connie Stokes of Burlington, Texas, Emma Jean Fudge of Searcy, and Marie Turner
of St. Louis, Mo.; and three nephews; Ronnie Garrison
of Burlington, Jerry Garrison of Dallas, and
C.W. Perkey of Cave City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; Claude Perkey and A.R.
Stroud; a son, Glenden Perkey; a daughter, Grace Ella Perkey; and two sisters;
Liddy Garrison Pectol and Loretta
Garrison.
The funeral was Dec. 4 at Providence Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Mount
Pleasant with Jesse McDaniel and Charles McDaniel officiating. Burial
followed in Pleasant Valley Cemetery located 10 miles west of Cave City.
Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
