Mrs. Harold W. Steinhilber, 2001 34th St. Rock Island died at 4:12 p.m.
yesterday at Moline Public Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Knox Larson Funeral Home. The
Rev. Kenneth D. Kenning pastor of the Church of Peace, United Church of Christ,
Rock Island, will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock
Island. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon tomorrow.
The former Evelyn Marie Ferns, was born Sept 15, 1915 in Milan the daughter of
William H. and Grace Galusha Ferns. She moved to Chicago at the age of 1 and had
lived in Rock Island since 1926. She was married to Mr. Steinhilber Aug 23 1946
in Rock Island. She was a member of the Church of Peace.
Surviving are the widower, a daughter, Mrs. Robert L. Staley Rock Island, a
stepdaughter, Mrs. Ronald E Raymond, Rock Island, a stepson William E. Miami,
Fla. Five step-grandchildren, her mother in Rock Island, four sisters, Mrs.
Ernest O. Marshall, Mountain Homme, Ark.; Mrs. Delbert Dyer and Mrs. Frederick
Findlay, both of Rock Island; and Mrs. Phillip Nitzberg, Phoenix, Ariz.; and
five brothers, Richard W., Mill Valley, Calif.; Edward L and Donald W. both of
Lakewood Calif., Nile D., Yuba City, Calif. and Glen M, Colona, Illinois.
