Mrs. Cornelia Beeman Spindler, wife of Charles Spindler of the Four Mile, passed
away last week Thursday morning, following a short illness.
Mrs. Spindler was taken ill February 21, while attending the funeral of her son,
Clyde Spindler. She was removed to the Mountain Clinic, Olean the day before she
succumbed.
Surviving, besides her husband, are two daughters, Miss Hazel Spindler, at home,
and Mrs. George Louser, Allegany, one son, Claude, at home, one brother, Fred
Beeman of Friendship, and two grandchildren.
The funeral was held from the home on the Four Mile at eight o'clock Monday
morning and at nine o'clock at St. Bonaventure church. Rev. Bonaventure
McIntyre, O. F. M., pastor, was celebrant of the solemn requiem high mass with
the Rev. Mr. John Powers, deacon, and Rev. Mr. George Pollard, sub deacon.
Commital prayers at St. Bonaventure cemetery were offered by the Rev. Donald
Hoag, O. F. M.
The pallbearers were Jacob Geise, Frank Martiny, George Stephan, Elmer Stephan
and Jacob Gallets. Friends and relatives present from out of town included Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Beeman, Friendship; John Spindler, Mrs. Rose Murty, Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Spindler, Miss Josephine Spindler, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Spindler, George
Derkiss, Bradford; Mrs. Teresa Lang, Batavia; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Martiny,
Detroit, and many friends and relatives from Olean and vicinity.
