Roy Cloud Speer, aged 86, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, formerly of Benton, died Thursday. He was a retired telegraph operator and a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Roy C. Speer of Mt. Pleasant; one stepson, James R. Fraser of Louisiana; one brother, David M. Speer of California; three sisters, Mrs. Decima S. Scott of Fayetteville, Mrs. Grace Ficklinger of Little Rock and Mrs. John M. Ellis of Mt. Pleasant, Texas.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Ashby Funeral Chapel with Rev. D. C. George officiating. Burial will be at Rosemont Cemetery.
