Eleanor F. Skogstad, age 92 of Bellingham passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2007. She was born on April 11, 1915 in Lancaster, MN to DeLace and Elva (Sweet) Johnston.

Eleanor worked at the Alger Tavern for 18 years and was a member of the Women of the Moose, and the Bellingham Senior Center. She loved to crochet, work crossword puzzles and play cards.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Fred Cowin and Harry Skogstad; and grandchildren, Michelle Kiernan and Walter Cowin, Jr. She is survived by her children, Dorothy Partlow (Duane), Walter Cowin (Sug), and Ronald Cowin (Ann); 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Francis Extended Healthcare for giving Eleanor such loving care.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 from 12:00-3:00 PM in the Moose Lodge, 1761 W. Bakerview Rd., Bellingham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Women of the Moose.
