Juineta Sissing, 104, of Four Seasons Living Center, Morrison, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, at Four Seasons Living Center.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at Garden Plain Presbyterian Church, Fulton. Visitation is 9:30 a.m. until service time time at the church. The Morrison Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of services. Interment will be in Garden Plain Cemetery, Fulton. Memorials may be made to Four Seasons Living Center, Morrison.

She was born Dec. 26, 1901, in Garden Plain, Ill., to Artemus and Nellie Galusha Snyder. She was educated in the Garden Plain Grade School and was a Fulton High School graduate -- she was the last surviving member of her class.

She married Henry Sissing Feb. 27, 1929, in Garden Plain Township. He died Feb. 28, 1966. She and her husband farmed for many years in the Garden Plain area.

She was a member of Garden Plain Presbyterian Church, TF Club and United Presbyterian Women's group. Juineta was an expert seamstress and quilter and made some of her family's clothes and many quilts.

Surviving (and spouses) are two daughters, Margaret Aguirre, Hemet, Calif., Harriet (Lawrence) Vrchoticky, Morrison; a daughter-in-law, Pat McDanel, Fulton; seven grandchildren, Rick (Elizabeth) Smith, Sandra (Mark) Kuban, Kenneth Sissing, Bryan Sissing, Julie (Steven) Sanders, Becky (William) Herzberg, Andrea (Bryan) O'Connor; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alva Wells (Dolores) Snyder, Fulton, Joe (Lucille) Snyder, Fulton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; one son, Richard Sissing; two sisters, Beulah Vander Schaaf and Lorna Haag; one brother, Don Snyder.
