Charity was the daughter of John A. and Elizabeth
J. Young Morgan. She married Franklin Ellsworth Sheets 29 Sept 1897 at PeeDee,
Iowa township, Cedar county, Iowa. They were the parents of Harold E, Robert
Claire and Claude E. Sheets.
Charity Ellen Morgan was born in Keokuk county, Neb., Oct. 11, 1879. In the year
1890, while living there, her mother died and two years later she, with her
father, moved to Kansas where she spent four years, then coming to Rochester.
September 15, 1897, she was united in marriage to Mr. Ellsworth F. Sheets, who
passed to the other side about two years ago.
Mrs. Sheets was baptized in infancy and has been a lifelong christian. She was a
member of the First Methodist Episcopalian church of Tipton and will be
remembered as an earnest and faithful worker in Sunday School and church in
Rochester while living there and in health. She leaves a father, brother and
sisters and four little ones to mourn her loss, besides many friends who have
known her.
The deceased passed away April 28, 1905, aged 25 years, 6 months and 17 days.
Funeral services were held from the house at 10 o'clock Sunday by Rev. S.B.
Doty, with interment in the Rochester cemetery, at which place Mrs. Doty spoke.
