OBITUARY

Wellsboro relatives this week received word of the death of William A. Ritter, 70, at his home in Wellsville.  Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon.

Mr. Ritter was born in Wellsboro Oct. 20, 1864.  He graduated from Wellsboro High School and engaged in business here for a number of years.  He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Possessing a cheerful and uncomplaining disposition in spite of the poor health from which he suffered, Mr. Ritter was highly regarded by all who knew him.

His wife, Mrs. Sarah Davis Ritter, a married daughter of Endicott, N.Y., a son John Ritter of Wellsville and four grandchildren survive.  Among surviving relatives in Wellsboro are Mrs. Lillian Davis, William Bliss, Miss May Stickley, Mrs. Joseph Tota, Mrs. L. A. Lyon, Mrs. Alfred Smart, Mrs. Harry D. Wheeler, Truman Carpenter, and Mrs. Sarah Ritter.
