Automotive accidents claimed the lives of two men yesterday, one succumbing in F. F. Thompson Hospital from injuries suffered when he was struck by a car Friday night.
Fred Powers, 55, Rushville, was brought to Thompson Hospital after he was thrown to the pavement as he was crossing the street in Rushville. Driver of the car that struck him, according to A. G. Dudden, Canandaigua Metro-station, was Gustavus C. Wherlin.
Powers is reported to have apparently walked into the street directly in front of the Wherlin vehicle. Wherlin brought the victim to the hospital here. He was not held.
