Name: Dewey Hobson Pinney

Born Sept. 22, 1898, in Alma, son of George and Ida Marsh Pinney, he was married July 7, 1924 in Friendship to Pearl Harder, who died in 1988.
He was employed by the Empire Gas Company and later the Iroquois Gas Company, retiring in 1963. He was a charter member of the Alma Community Center and a charter member of the Alma Fire Department.
Survivors include one son, Robert of Alma; two daughters, Margaret Seamans of Alma, and Janette McBride of Olean; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one step-sister, Frances Chandler of Wyoming.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, Wellsville where a service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Ralph Eastlack officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville.
