BATH - Earl Perry, age 93, of 118 E. Williams St., died January 29, 1997 at his home following an extended illness.

He was born October 10, 1903 in Altay, NY to Charles and Della Shoemaker Perry.

Earl was a member of the Bradford Baptist Church and served as a Deacon for over fifty years. He started working for Corning Inc. in 1950. He retired after 18 years of active service and has now accumulated forty-six years of total service. He also owned a small farm in Bradford, NY. He was also co-owner of the Bible Book Store in Corning, NY from 1975 to 1987.

Surviving are his wife, Helen Smith Perry, two daughters, Rena (John) Hammond of Bradford, NY, Marjorie (Thomas) Fink of Clemmons, NC, one son William (Virginia) Perry of Baguio City, Philippines and Atlanta, GA, one sister Flora Perry Hawley of Bath, NY, ten grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Earl was predeceased by his first wife, Helen Galusha in 1957.

Calling hours will be held at Seager-Jones Funeral Home, 4 East Washington St., Bath, NY tonight, January 31st from 7-9 pm and Saturday, February 1st from 1-3 with the funeral service immediately following with Reverend Rolin Howard officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport, NY.
