OBITUARY

A traffic signal flashed red and the breath
of Otis McDonald Patrick, 43, halted forever in an automobile at the corner of
Commerce and St. Paul Thursday morning.
Mr. Patrick had been ill since 4 a. m. He was on his way downtown with his wife
and daughter to see a doctor. The fatal heart attack struck as he pulled up for
a red light at the intersection at 7 a. m. A police squad car hurried him to the
Emergency Hospital, where doctors worked thirty minutes trying to revive him.
The Rev. Herman H. Davis will conduct the funeral at 4 p. m. Friday in the
Forney Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Kittie L. Patrick; a son, William Boyd Patrick; a
daughter, Miss Gloria Ann Patrick; his mother, Mrs. Etta Anderson; and two
sisters, Mrs. R. A. Haggard and Mrs. C. C. Cannon, all of Dallas.
