BLOOMFIELD - Gertrude Eleanor Patrick, 87, died April 25, 2005, at her home.

Born Oct. 10, 1917, in Gray Ridge to the late Robert and Clara Umble, she retired in 1979 from the Elder Manufacturing Co. In 2001 she was honored with the 50-year jewel for being a charter member of the Bloomfield Rebekah Lodge 847.

On March 18, 1942, she married Arthur Wallace Patrick who preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 2000.

Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Berta Jean.

Survivors include her grandchildren and grandchildren-in-law, Anna and Josh Cohen of Arlington, Va., and Clint and Terry Aslin of Mead, Okla.; and three great-grandchildren, Anthony Aslin, Anna Aslin and Tara Aslin of Mead.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home until time for services at 11 a.m. The Rev. Ron Dunivan, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Walker Cemetery at Bloomfield.

Gertrude Elenora Patrick, 87, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at her home in Bloomfield. She was born Oct. 10, 1917, in Grayridge to the late Robert and Clara Umble.

Visitation will be held at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield on Friday, April 29, 2005, after 9 a.m.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Dunivan, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.

On March 18, 1942, she was married to Arthur Wallace Patrick; they made their home in Bloomfield for over 50 years. He preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 2000.

Gertrude retired from Elder Manufacturing Co. in 1979. In 2001 she was honored with the Fifty Year Jewel for being a charter member of the Bloomfield Rebekah Lodge #847.

Gertrude's only daughter, Berta Jean, and her husband Clinton H. Aslin preceded her in death.

Remembering her are her grandchildren, Anna and Clint, and their spouses, Josh Cohen of Arlington, Va., and Terry Aslin of Mead, Okla. Terry blessed Gertrude with three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Anna and Tara.

Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield.
