Arthur Wallace Patrick, son of the late George and Edith Combs Patrick, was born at Avert on March 18, 1919 and died at the Three Rivers Healthcare North in Poplar Bluff on Sep. 2, 2000 at the age of 82.

Mr. Patrick spent most of his life in the Bloomfield community.  Until his retirement in 1980, he owned and operated Patrick's Feed Store in Bloomfield.  After his retirement, he enjoyed volunteer work including Meals-on-Wheels.  He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield.  On March 19, 1942, he was married to Gertrude Umble.

Survivors include his wife Gertrude Patrick of the home in Bloomfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Berta Jean and Clinton Aslin of Haughton, LA; one sister, Pauline Jennings, of Indianapolis, IN; one granddaughter and her husband, Anna and Josh Cohen of Arlington, VA; one grandson and his wife, Clinton Jr. and Terry Aslin of St. Louis, MO; one great-grandson, Anthony Aslin, of St. Louis; other relatives and many friends survive.  Three brothers, Bob, Ferrell, and Louis Patrick preceded him in death.

Visitation was held at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Tuesday.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sep. 6, at 10 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Ron Dunivan officiating.  Burial followed in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper in charge of arrangements.
