David Partlow passed away at the age of 52, on January 15, 2009, in Bellingham after a courageous battle with cancer. David was born on November 24, 1956, in Bellingham to Duane and Dorothy Partlow and never left Bellingham until he completed high school.  At that time he joined the armed forces, serving between the years of 1975 through 78. While in the armed forces he was stationed in Louisiana and Germany.

After returning to Bellingham he then met his wife, Janell Glad of Bellingham and was married on December 4, 1981. Together they completed their family of 2 boys and 1 girl (Benjamin 22, Matthew 20 and Lauren 15).

David worked in many trades in the construction field until he found a home with the Port of Bellingham in 1985 as a maintenance person and a proud member of the L.L.W.U. Local #7 up to the time he went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. David and Janell attended Cornwall Church of Bellingham where David was baptized on October 12, 2008.

The joy of David's life was spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoyed spending Saturday nights at Skagit Speedway with his dad and brother-in-law, where he met other fans and friends, camping with his family at Baker Lake, working on their property and spending time with friends.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Eleanor Skogstad and Patricia Sharrah; niece Michell Kiernan; and brother-in-law Jack Pullar.

David is survived by his wife of 27 years, Janell Partlow; sons, Benjamin, and Matthew; and daughter, Lauren, all of Bellingham. He is also survived by his parents, Duane and Dorothy Partlow, siblings, Diane Pullar, Darlene (Steve) Kreiter, Donna Wilson of Bellingham, Dennis (Lisa) Partlow of Lynden, and Donald (Peggy) Partlow of Ferndale; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws.

David would like to express a special thanks to friends Kelly Hollingsworth, Aaron Bliss, and David's favorite out law and her husband. He will be truly missed by all of his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Cornwall Church, 4518 Northwest Avenue, Bellingham In lieu of flowers, David would like donations sent to Whatcom Hospice, 800 E.
