PENNINGTON GAP, Va, —Mrs. Irene Parsons, 55, died
early Sunday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Bledsoe, of causes
not immediately known,.
She was a life-long resident of Pennington Gap and a member of the First Baptist
Church,.
Survivors are her husband, Rudolph H, Parsons of Pennington Gap; mother, Mrs.
Etta Garrison of Fairland, In.; six sons, Robert S. Parsons of Hopkinsville,
Ky., Lynn R. Parsons of Mooresville, Ind., Jerry Parsons, of Marietta, GA, Billy
Parsons, of Topeka, KS.; David Parsons and Rudy Parsons, both of Pennington Gap;
three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Bledsoe and Mrs. Connie Nunley, both of Pennington
Gap. and Mrs. Harriett Roberts of Dayton, Ohio; three brothers, Wade Garrison of
Pennington Gap, Clyde Garrison of Indianapolis, and Ray Garrison of Mooresville,
In; four sisters, Mrs. Sue Franklin, Mrs. Iva Lou Beaty, both of Indianapolis,
Mrs. Ruth Tearman of Fairland, IN, and Mrs. Mae Childers of Kings Mountain NC;
and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce D.
Robinson officiating with burial in Lee Memorial Park.
