Harold L. Park, 87, of Buck Creek, died at 6:35 a.m. Thursday in Lafayette Healthcare Center.

He was born Oct. 12, 1904, in Tippecanoe County and was a life resident of this area.  He graduated from Battle Ground High School and was a member of Buck Creek United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Men's Club, Transitville Masonic Lodge 421 and Fairfield Retiree's Club.

Mr. Park was employed at Fairfield Manufacturing Co. for 40 years and was supervisor in the gear laboratory.  He retired in 1970.

He married Althear Lesley on June 29, 1927, in Battle Ground.  She survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Alma) Ketterer of Lafayette.

Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today at Hippensteel Funeral Home.  Service in Hippensteel Chapel 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Dr. R. Clayton Kendall officiating.  Interment Spring Vale Cemetery. Surviving are one grandson, Douglas C. Ketterer, and two great-grandchildren, Eric D. and Whitney A. Ketterer, all of Lafayette.  Preceded in death by two sisters.  Those desiring may contribute in memoriam to Buck Creek United Methodist Church.
