OBITUARY

Name:   Geraldine C. (Grigsby) Ours

Born Aug. 11, 1929, in Olean, she was a daughter of Alfred and Ione Higgins Grigsby.  On Oct. 21, 1947, in Eldred, she married Ernest M. Ours, who died May 10, 1983.

A lifelong resident of Eldred, Mrs. Ours was a 1947 graduate of Eldred High School.

She was a member and the pianist for the Turtlepoint Evangelical Church, past member of the First Church of God in Eldred, past Fresh Air chairman in the Eldred area for many years, and was a tutor for the Literacy Volunteers of America.

Surviving are a son, Ronald Ours of Eldred; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Suzanne) Spiegel of Smethport and Mrs. Jeffrey (Donna) Gross of Olean; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Dolores) Crooks of Erie and Mrs. Carl (Barbara) Booth of Eldred; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred.  Funeral services will be held Thursday (Aug. 3, 1989) at 11 a.m. in the First Church of God in Eldred, with the Rev. James Kazimer, pastor, and the Rev. James Moose, pastor of the Turtlepoint Evangelical Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Turtlepoint Evangelical Church or the Eldred Ambulance Fund.
