Kevin S. Odom, 42, of Evansville, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000 at his home of cancer.

He was in the Marine Corps for 15 years.  He was a staff sergeant serving in the military police and as a recruiter.

He was a coach for the Lakeview Optimist Sunday Baseball Handicapped League and a past master counselor of DeMolay.  He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife of two years, Kathleen; a daughter Jennifer Odom of Evansville; his father, Buford "Bill" Odom of Evansville; two sisters, Charlotte Tanner and Elizabeth Freyberger, both of Evansville; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Tim Suenram officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call from 3 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for Melanoma Research.
