He was born in Corydon on Oct. 28, 1918, to the late Frank E. and Beulah V. Schuppert Neely. He owned and operated Neely's Jewelry in Corydon from 1969 to 1985 and was a watchmaker for Albin Jewelers in Corydon for 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of VFW Post 2950 in Corydon and a member of Corydon Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Grace Mayberry; a son, Robert Lynn Neely of Bloomington; and two grandchildren.
The Funeral was Monday at 3 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon and the Rev. Sandy Messick officiated. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon, and pallbearers were Edmund Rainbolt, Joe Miller, Russell Yeager, William Garey, Wilbur Dean and Donald Schuppert. n William Stevens was honorary pallbearer. Members of his VFW Post performed military graveside rites.
