BRADFORD, Pa. -- Lorene A. Moonan, 86, of the Bradford Manor, formerly of 44 Fairview Road, died Thursday (April 30, 1992) in Bradford Hospital.

Born December 10, 1905, in Eldred, she was a daughter of John and Ada Galutia Higgins.  On Nov 3, 1928, in Allegany, N.Y., she married Thomas J. Moonan, who died Nov. 7, 1981.

Mrs. Moonan attended Eldred schools.  She was a member of the Derick City United Methodist Church, Derick City Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and the Bradford Manor Auxiliary.

Surviving are three sons, Charles Moonan and Robert Moonan, both of Bradford, and Raymond Moonan of Gifford; two daughters, Joan Sutley and Ardis Parkhurst, both of Bradford; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother, Francis Higgins of Emporium; three sisters, Lula Mae Manning of Eldred, Gertrude McCracken of Salem, N.J., and Vivian Whiteman of Hornell, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by three sisters.

Friends may call today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Home, East Main Street, Bradford, where funeral and committal services will be held Saturday (May 2, 1992) at 3 p.m. Dr. Norman E. Dunkle, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
