George A. Moffitt, 59, 1728 Hope, a lifelong resident of Topeka, died here Wednesday.

He was born March 21, 1901, in Topeka and was chief clerk auditor in the freight accounts department of Santa Fe Railroad Co.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Chapel with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Surviving are his widow, Viola L. Moffitt of the home; two stepsons, Estele [sic] Brunton of Lawrence and Merlyn Brunton of San Bernardino, Calif.; and one grandchild.
