Joseph W. Mikulecky, 1531 Geneva St, Age 76, passed away this morning at Wood, Wis., following a short illness. Mr. Mikulecky was born in Racine May 3, 1872, son of Frank and Anna Uhlir Mikulecky, pioneers of Racine County. His wife, Mary J., preceded him in death 14 years ago. Until his retirement, he had operated a filling station at Tabor for many years. He was a member of the Spanish-American War Veterans, saw service in the Philippine Islands and also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. Burnette Organ of Racine and Mrs. Roy Bornofska of Manitowish, Wis.; one son, Graeme A. Mikulesky of Racine, with whom he had made his home; two grandchildren, Burnette Jr. and Barbara Laurie Organ; several nieces and nephews.
Christian Scientist services will be held Saturday, 3 p.m. in the Dahl Funeral Home. Interment will be in the family lot in West Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Dahl Funeral Home Friday afternoon and until time of services. Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct military services at the grave.
