WESTVILLE -- The funeral for Mr. Rolland "Cy" McKellips, 87, of Westville, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Newhard Funeral Home in Westville with Rev. William Rabb III officiating.  He died Monday, March 22, 1999, in La Porte.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, where the Westville Lions Club will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until service Saturday.  Burial will be in Door Village Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Westville Lions Club.

He was born April 27, 1911 in La Porte, to Rollo D. and Nelly (Bly) McKellips, and had been a lifelong area resident.  Mr. McKellips was a farmer and owner of several area businesses, a charter member of Westville Lions Club, a member of Westville Masonic Lodge, former justice of the peace in Westville, and a 1929 graduate of Westville High School.

In 1935, he married Carol Nuss Affleck, who survives and lives in Keystone Heights, Fla.  In 1959, he married Anna Mae, who died Nov. 29, 1982.  He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Marianne Gilbert, his parents and one sister.

Surviving are one daughter Faith Veltrop Hall of Clovis, N.M., one son, Rolland Alan "Gus" of Melrose, Fla,; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
