A funeral for Chauncey R. McDowell will be at 10 AM Thursday at the Siskiyou Chapel, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd, Medford.  Pastor John Dungey of the Community Bible Church in Central Point will officiate. Interment will follow in Siskiyou Memorial park.  Perl Funeral Home with Siskiyou Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McDowell, 78 of Central Point died Sunday (June 14, 1992) at Providence Hospital.

He was born April 18, 1914 in La Harpe, Ill.  He graduated from Altona High School.

On Aug 12, 1938, in Chicago, Ill. He married Mae Quenette, who survives in Central Point.

He served in the Army 75th Division during World War II in the European Theater Operation Rhineland Campaign and received a purple heart.

His hobbies included watching golf and bowling.

Survivors in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Dennise Mock, Mission Veijo, Calif., Cynthia Brickley, Salem, and Elaine McDowell, Medford, and four grandchildren.

Friends may pay their respects between 5 and 8 p.m. Wednesday at Siskiyou chapel.
