UNIONTOWN -- Edna Mayberry, 99, Uniontown, died at 2:25 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2004, at Methodist Hospital in Union County.

She was born March 22, 1904, in New Madrid, Mo., to Ezra and Della Darnell. After the death of her father, at the age of one, she was raised by her mother and stepfather, William E. Wagner, in Uniontown. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Uniontown.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Helen Janice Lewis, who died in 2000.

Survivors include four sons, Bob Mayberry of Pollock Pines, Calif., Ray Mayberry of Roanoke, Va., and Kenneth Mayberry and Jerry Mayberry, both of Uniontown; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church. Brothers Harold Bratcher and Jim Adams will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Sunday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.
