Name:    David Eugene "Moose" Mayberry

David "Moose" Mayberry, 52, of Dale died 3:42 a.m. June 28, 2005, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was a pipefitter/welder for Local 551 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.

Mr. Mayberry was born March 15, 1953, in Cairo to Joseph Alvin and Shirley V. (Lyman) Mayberry. He married Terry Lea (Harrawood) Mayberry July 23, 1971, in McLeansboro; she survives.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Joseph Trapp and Monsignor Joseph Lawler will officiate. Burial will follow at Digby Hill Cemetery in Dale.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

Mr. Mayberry is survived by his wife, Terry Mayberry of Dale; two daughters, Tina Warren and husband Dwight "Tony" of McLeansboro and Christy Lynn Currie and husband Bryce of Troy; a granddaughter, Kylie Brynne Currie of Troy; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Shirley Mayberry of McLeansboro; his mother-in-law, Virginia Durham and husband Oliver "Corky" of O'Fallon; his father-in-law, Caroll Harrawood and wife Sherry of O'Fallon; several nieces and nephews; three brothers, Joseph A. Mayberry Jr. of Benton, Anthony James Mayberry of Maple Grove, Minn., and James Arthur Mayberry of Augusta, Ga.; and four sisters, Mrs. Donna Roberts of Raleigh, Mrs. Teresa Taylor of Salem, Mrs. Judith Ford of Evansville, Ind., and Mrs. Rhonda Ireland of McLeansboro.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Mr. Mayberry attended St. Clements Catholic Church in McLeansboro. He was a member of Walpole Tuscan Lodge A.F. & A.M., Hadi Shrine in Evansville, Ind., and Elks Lodge 1882, Eagles Lodge Aerie 2699 and Coyote Hunters Club in McLeansboro.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Crippled Children and will be accepted at Harre Funeral Home.
