She was a homemaker and lived in Griffin many years before moving to Evansville.
Lois had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Poseyville and Friendship Club in Griffin. She used her talent to the glory of God, being church pianist of Griffin Methodist Church many years, then became church pianist for Asbury Methodist Church in Evansville for years.
Lois was the widow of Uel Everett Malone, who died on January 21, 1993. They were married just under 60 years.
Lois enjoyed working crossword puzzles, traveling, playing the piano, knitting, and crocheting. She had volunteered with Decker Christian Quilters.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Jean Hancock and husband, Tom, of Griffin, Ind.; daughter, Jane Malone of Evansville; grandson, Scott Hancock and wife, Jane; granddaughter, Lisa Daugherty and husband, Ernie, all of Griffin, Ind.; great-granddaughters, Rachel and Sara Daugherty; great-grandson, Ryan Daugherty; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2006, at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, officiated by Pastor Ruth Milgate, with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may visit from noon until service time Friday at the mausoleum chapel.
