OBITUARY

Name:    Mabel Edna (Thresher) Mac Nair

Mrs. Mabel Thresher Mac Nair, 91, died November 11th in a Topeka hospital.  The funeral was held Saturday, November 13th at the Jetmore Methodist Church and burial was at the Fairmount Cemetery.

Mrs. Mac Nair was born Mabel Edna Thresher, June 28, 1891 on a homestead claim southeast of Jetmore.  She and John L. Mac Nair were married March 18th 1920 and moved to a Pawnee Valley farm fifteen miles northwest of Jetmore.  After John served several years in the legislature as Hodgeman County's representative, he and Mabel moved to Topeka in 1956 and later retired there. 

John preceded Mabel in death on May 31, 1979.  Mabel's survivors include a son, Jack Mac Nair, a sister, Mrs. J. P. (Arlie) Mooney; two grandsons, Mickey and Scott Mac Nair; and two great-grandchildren, Andy and Erin Mac Nair.

Family members suggested that memorial contributions could be directed to the Hodgeman County 4-H Council, c/o P.O. Box 38, Jetmore, Kansas.
